Often donors find it convenient to use their stocks, or securities, as a way of making gifts to the American Red Cross.
To facilitate a gift of stock, we have provided the following instructions. If you have questions, please contact the Financial Development Director at (603) 225-6697 x226.
Step 1: INITIATE TRANSFER
 There are two common methods of gifting securities to the American Red Cross. The first is Electronic transfer through which your broker can transfer shares using the Red Cross DTC number. The other is physically mailing the paper certificates to the Red Cross. Either method is acceptable, but it is necessary for you to contact your broker to initiate the transfer. Step 2: DELIVERY
Stock may be transferred to UBS Financial Services.

Step 3: NOTIFY THE RED CROSS
Regardless of the method chosen to deliver a gift of stock; the donor needs to provide us information about the gift for audit and acknowledgment purposes.
You may also choose to send a letter or email at the time of transfer with the following information:
- Donor's full name and complete address
- Name and number of securities transferred
- Name of brokerage house shares will be transferred to (i.e. UBS Financial Services)
- Date of the transfer
- Specific American Red Cross program or chapter to which gift should be directed, if any.
